Valentine's Meal

I wish I could take credit for these amazing baked potatoes, but unfortunately I can't! They were stuffed with crawfish, lots of cheese, chives, and seasoned with a mild Cajun seasoning. We will definitely be purchasing them again.

Chocolate Sandwiches!
Ingredients: Butter/Margarine, Hershey Chocolate, Bread, Confectioners Sugar, and a Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter.

Basically, you make a grill cheese and replace the cheese with chocolate - the more chocolate the yummier (in my opinion)!

Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and enjoy!

The Bunburyist vs. the Deer

Happy Valentine's Day!! This is my first married Valentine's Day, and the hubby and I have spent our day together car shopping.

Wednesday night I hit a HUGE deer with my car, and my poor car is probably totaled. Thankfully the car and the deer suffered most of the damages, and I walked away with only a few air bag burns. It is only a miracle from God that I did not suffer any serious injuries!

The husband and I have made it a habit to read a chapter from the Bible every night together before we fall asleep. You can only imagine how God spoke to us that night when we opened our Bibles and the chapter we read was James 1.

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4

What a perfect verse for us to read that night! So instead of letting the expense of purchasing a new vehicle become a financial burden for us, we consider it pure joy! God has only strengthened out faith through this event and that is always a joyful experience.

So now we are having lots of fun Bunburying for cars! We have been looking at smaller SUVs (e.g. Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Equinox, Saturn Vue...etc); however, I am certainly not opposed to a car either. Right now I am just enjoying not having to drive (never really liked driving) and now the husband gets to chauffeur me around - I LOVE it!!

As for the rest of our Valentine's Day we will be Bunburying in the kitchen. This morning we went to the local meat market and picked up steaks and twice baked crawfish stuffed baked potatoes (my mouth waters just typing twice baked crawfish stuffed baked potatoes)! Also, I plan on sauteing portobello mushrooms - another favorite of ours. For dessert we will be having chocolate sandwiches!

Lazy Bunburying

With the exception of attending Sunday School and Church today, I have worn sweats all weekend. It has been wonderful! I finished both books on my reading "to do" list. Friday Night Knitting Club actually turned out to be a lot better than I thought, but if you decide to read it be prepared for a teary ending. On the other hand, Twilight, was a huge disappointment. Sorry to all those Twilight fans out there, but I just don't understand why or how the book is so popular. The entire book was extremely dark and just plain weird. I will not be continuing on with the series.

Since I spent the whole weekend reading, I decided that I should make a top 10 list of fiction favorites and must reads.

First, let me explain the difference between a favorite and must read. A favorite book is simply a great book. It makes you laugh, cry, smile, and you would read it over and over again. A must read book is life changing. It changes your perspective; it changes you. It is quite possible that a book could be both a favorite and must read. In fact, I have a few that fit into both categories.
