Matchmaker

I have two friends Amy and Lee.

Amy went to Auburn and was an AGD.  (Side note: The Sister was an AGD at Auburn).  Amy knows all of my AU friends from LA (lower Alabama)  that went to AU.  I'm certain that if I had gone to AU Amy and I would have been great friends and sorority sisters!  Since I didn't go to Auburn and get to become friends with Amy there, she came to MSU for grad school and we immediately hit it off.  She lived with a good friend of mine and we met one night at a MSU football game.

Lee and The Husband were fraternity brothers, and now Lee and I work in the same department.  I've known Lee for quite some time.  He is a good guy.

One day I met Amy at Barnes and Noble to give her a gift for a shower I couldn't attend.  After leaving B&N it hit me - Amy and Lee need to go on a date!  So I put the plan into motion.  I knew things were going good when I asked them separately  if  they would be interested in going on a blind date and BOTH of them said, "What do I have to lose."  They were two of a kind!  To make the date less awkward The Husband and I went along too.  We all met at the Bin after work one afternoon. We left around 8:30PM (another sign things were going well).  Amy and Lee continued to date, and I continued to pat myself on the back about my phenomenal matchmaking skills.

Then last Sunday night....Lee PROPOSED!!!

she said yes!

I knew the proposal was coming because Lee had the ring delivered to my office. Do you know what he did? He wouldn't let me see the ring - cruel and unusual punishment? I think so!

Amy showing off her bling!

The nearly weds and us!

So currently I have an 100% success rate as a matchmaker.  Feel free to contact me if you would like to be married within a year!

Congratulations Lee and Best Wishes Amy!!

A Kumquat?

In case you haven't heard, I have a kumquat in my belly!  That is according to babycenter.com at 10 weeks my baby should be the size of a kumquat.

(I had to google what is a kumquat and this is the picture I got.)
Yes, The husband and I are expecting our first child!  We couldn't be happier and more thankful for this experience God has blessed us with!   To add to the excitement The Sister is expecting too!  We are about 4 weeks apart.  I'm so excited for Baby to have a cousin so close in age.  Growing up my cousins were all much younger than me, and I always thought it would be fun to have cousin close to my age.

The Baby Facts
Due Date: October 19th
How Far Along: 10 weeks
Gender: It is going to be a surprise.  We'll find out in October!
